The AdHera technology

Derived from ICB (Impluse Current Bonding) by Sy&Se, this patented technology using pulsed electric fields significantly improves the adherence of thin films such as PVD, CVD, and galvanoplasty. For example, an AdHera processed thin film offers better mechanical resistance when the substrate material is subjected to minor deformation.

AdHera is a post-processing step after the deposition of the thin film. It can be processed batchwise at a later stage and is quite tolerant in terms of environmental conditions and cleanness.

Main benefits from thin films post-processed with AdHera:

  • Improved coating adherence
  • Improved structuration of the thin film
  • Improved mechanical resistance of the thin film even when the substrate material is subjected to minor deformation.

Sy&Se SA is able to provide in-house AdHera processing on smaller production volumes, allowing customers to improve the product performance in terms of resistance and durability.
